The advansys driver appears to be BSD-licensed in version 3.3K, now GPLv2 in
version 3.4. The firmware images in the linux-firmware tree state BSD
licensing (according to WHENCE [1]), I have used the license extract from
advansys.c v3.3K accordingly.

The problem appears similar to #432042. Firmware isn't being
transferred to the initrd via update-initramfs upon package
installation. As the firmware isn't available in the initramfs image,
