The current version does not work with Iceweasel 3.0.5. Updating
Stumbleupon to the current upstream version would fix this problem.

I removed it from the configuration dialog while
leaving the option intact in gconf.
The default behaviour has been changed so that it will silently skip files that
are not images.
Waiting for the package to hit debian archive before closing this bug.

I think this could be a nice package for a beginner like me.
I've only skimmed through the new maintainer guide but I've already
packaged for Ubuntu in the past.
Anyhow, I plan on adopting this package. I just need a bit more time on
the whole joining Debian process. :)
