Bug#395995: i found it :-)

i've renamed the /usr/lib/hal/hald-addon-cpufreq (disabled it) and now it boots smoothly :-) thanks ! so i nerrowed it down, but can i figure it more deeply ? and also... i can r disable acpi_freq and freq_table modules from loading ? because i think i get the same crash from those models too.

i did as you suggested... booting into single mode and here's what happend: just loading hald from the command line immediately crashes (hard rest!) the laptop. (not switching init to run level 6 !) booting again. starting hald with strace loads it with no crash ! :-) and continuing to load
