it looks like I also have this problem. I used to use ifplugd to let the
DHCP client start automatically when the card is associated, but now
ifplugd won't do anything anymore. I have to type ifup ath0 every time,

This bug is because linphonec_parse_command_line() is passed a string in
cl even when fgets() in linphonec_main_loop() returns NULL;
A simple fix is attached. It makes the application exit cleanly if
that fgets() return zero, or giving a Ctrl-D alone as a command ends
the program.

To the best of my knowledge, there is no unified library for handling adress
books (do you have in mind some
prog which is able to handle them uniformly?). However, it should be doable
with specific modules.
