Dear Maintainer,
"apt-get update" with a stale partial Packages file displays a cryptic error

is broken. This is made worse by it giving the URL of the Packages fi
The upstream bug is "RESOLVED UNMAINTAINED". I.e. the bug will not be fixed
because KMail is unmaintained. (I get this crash too) So forwarding it upstream
isn't terribly helpful.

Version: 3.2.3-2.1+b3
Followup-For: Bug #436200
The stable version (3.2.3-2.1) works perfectly if I install it with

The testing version (3.2.3-3.1+b3) crashes on any motion being detected,
apparently because of a problem with ffmpeg:

In fact, the default install does work. At least it works now. Sorry folks!

Sorry, I should have told you when I discovered the real cause of the
problem. Maybe I assumed the bug had been closed. The real cause of the
problem was me having a cron script that called /etc/init.d/umountnfs.sh
instead of doing umount -a -t nfs/smb. With some rather unfortunate
side-effects. I
