I have the same problem. After updateing form sarge to etch my traffic exploded
becouse of the bug.
As a workaround I downgraded wget to Version 1.9.1 (etch) and everithing was
fine again.

petch by the fetchmail upstream. But it is a wanted
behaviour because cyrus complains if there is a whitespace.

It's not only a defective appearance. A bug - in my opinion.
Mhm not my opinion, but I can find a bug here only if your
personal scripts don't work with it.
I can find no standard which is against such behaviour.
