happens with around 3700 characters: see attached file. It
does not seem related to locales.
But it is a bug (if anywhere) in glibc's locale descriptions or regex
matcher, since that's where the relevant code comes from. Should be
reassigned.

so I tried same conversion with pdf2djvu and, while 1. above holds still
true, the resulting DjVu had the internal links (jumps from index to content
etc.).
I deem it an important bug, as links are important infomartion that should

I've not bisected it. In addition, commit 220e0fb adds the submitted

sa_len was always 0, but sa_family was set correctly. On little-endian
systems it's the other way round, and sa_family is set incorrectly to 0.
I'm now always passing to C sockaddrs with sa_len, and removing the
sa_len on platforms that do not have it.

, that means the 'hard' bug is elsewhere, but that's also a wammu bug:
a gui should yield a proper error msg should an external tool/util fail,
not suddenly crash with no clues to the user wrt the cause.

have the upstream fix. as the oops is quite rare and fix hasn't been
clearly identified it is recommeded to upgrade to etch + half kernel
