Bug#903295: libpam-systemd: Depends: systemd-shim (>= 10-4~) but it is not going to be installed: A stopgap, probably incorrect solution

2018-08-28 Thread Sabahattin Gucukoglu
I went for an exceedingly dirty solution but one not requiring a build environment: unpack the systemd-shim 10-3 deb archive, the control archive inside, and then modify the control file. Carefully pack it back up with tar and ar, then install it with dpkg -i. I *do* hope this will get fixed.

Bug#857763: udhcpd: Please set FEATURE_UDHCPD_WRITE_LEASES_EARLY in build config

2017-03-14 Thread Sabahattin Gucukoglu
Source: busybox Version: 1:1.22.0-19 Severity: wishlist The dumpleases utility would be made more useful on a system with an SSD if FEATURE_UDHCPD_WRITE_LEASES_EARLY were set at build time, because then you wouldn't need to set a low auto_time (udhcpd.conf option) to get up-to-date lease

Bug#857760: busybox-syslogd: Needs CONFIG_FEATURE_SYSLOGD_DUP to support duplicate message suppression (-D option)

2017-03-14 Thread Sabahattin Gucukoglu
Source: busybox Version: 1:1.22.0-19 Severity: normal The -D option to busybox-syslogd needs the build config option FEATURE_SYSLOGD_DUP. The default file for the busybox-syslogd initscript alludes to duplicate message suppression but doesn't use it, which is why I've set this to normal rather

Bug#832537: mdadm: /usr/share/mdadm/checkarray: fails silently, without any action

2016-07-26 Thread Sabahattin Gucukoglu
Package: mdadm Version: 3.4-1 Severity: important Because of a peculiar bug in dash (0.5.8-2.2) reading from sysfs using the read command, on my sysstem, line 145 of checkarray always fails with status 1, thus ending the script (set -e) and providing no hint to the administrator (via cronjob

Bug#700673: boa: QUERY_STRING not in CGI environment for null query string

2013-02-15 Thread Sabahattin Gucukoglu
Package: boa Version: 0.94.14rc21-amd64 Severity: normal Tags: upstream Hi, I recently installed the winhelpcgi.cgi program on my server machine, which breaks under boa because it expects to see a QUERY_STRING variable in its environment, even if it is an empty string for the case that no

Bug#695646: ucspi-tcp: Move or copy tcp-environ(5) manual page from qmail

Source: ucspi-tcp Severity: wishlist Tags: upstream, ipv6 Hi, Please consider moving or copying the tcp-environ(5) manual page from the qmail package into the ucspi-tcp packages (updating it as necessary for ucspi-tcp-ipv6). This page really belongs to ucspi-tcp IMO since it describes
