It seems you'll also want to replace
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSansMono-Roman.ttf
with
/usr/share/fonts/truetype/ttf-dejavu/DejaVuSansMono.ttf
in ttf-dejavu.defoma-hints, since that file has also been renamed.
