according to upstream author, there is (most likely) nothing to be fixed
upstream. The mentioned issue strongly depends on user's custom (local file)
settings as well as the CUPS-API (which is another topic, I guess)...

For me it seems that these problems are traceable to the current "backports
kernel" (4.13), which makes use of "apparmor".
When using Debian stretch's default kernel (4.9) instead, everything works fine.

then obviously I want to install and use FFMPEG (and not some other
software).
Boy, was I fed up when I discovered that the current ffmpeg package does
not contain FFMPEG at all but is only this avconv thing in
sophisticated system tray application
available for Window Maker. I'm quite sure that many users would be
happy if they could install it easily using a package manager (like
APT).
I would be pleased, if someone would consider maintaining this great
software.

I''m sorry, because it was due to directory permissions, that I didn't
get core dumps, oops...
Finally I get now coredumps, but I'm not able to decipher them. I
started apache this way:
# /usr/sbin/apache.dbg -f /etc/apache/httpd.conf
And used gallery2 webapp to get the sigseg
Zur passenden Dateiberechtigung des coredump-Verzeichnisses:
# ls -ld /coredump
drwxrwxrwx 2 www-data www-data 1024 2007-11-11 23:12 /coredump
