The state of snort is basically a disaster. I don't know what you guys are
trying to do with it, but the way you have set it up with your convoluted
configuration and initialization scripts has not helped make the package more
stable, easy to use, or better.
I just want to report that the issue is identical with version 2.7.0-22.
I also want to point out one more thing that absolutely blows my mind: in
/etc/default/snort is a line:
PARAMS=-m 027 -D -d
Is this correct? Why are the daemon parameters in this file?

Here is the wpa_supplicant.conf I am using. I can confirm again that
wpa_supplicant and ifup/down are basically totally broken with respect
to bringing up/down the wireless interface. At boot, based on the
/etc/network/interfaces above and this wpa_supplicant.conf, it will do
the correct thing

Many if not most KDE packages are not installabe in Sid because:

Downloaded the latest testing netinst. Initial install went fine, but
after reboot tty1 is blue with text flashing repeatedly the message that
it is installing the base system. Then is stops and there is the text:
grep: menu/.mnu: No such file or
I too confirm this bug. When it crashes there is no output. Strace
output also appeared to not be very useful. The fix mentioned above
does work:
If you are running Sid and have the kdelibs4 and kdelibs-bin version 3.3.2-7
installed:
1. go to snapshot.debian.net

After changing entries under Edit file type the Open with menu for a
particular file type does not reflect the changes that were just made.
If the default application to open a file type is changed and a file is
left-clicked to open, it will open with the

This bug still exists. Sendmail fails to install:

In Sid libssl-0.9.7g-2 is the current version. libssl-dev will not
install because it depends on libssl=0.9.7g-1
# apt-get install libssl-dev

Some packages could not be installed. This may mean
i just checked packages.debian.org and both versions there are g1 so i
don't know how g2 got on my system.
