Hi I have not yet found out how it happens (i found and removed all teh xmodmaps from earlier gnome-keyboard-properties) but the ISO_Level3_Shift comes from gnome . I have dig in xfree86 and they have fixed alt_g for all keymaps (there was a few inconsistencies before ) so if other desktop like k
