Dear sirs,
Thank you for creating and maintaining Debian.
Method of creating hanging:
First, I did a pretty standard install from the
CD-image that downloads packages from the net.
At the reboot, I left the computer for a quite long time

Well, probably yes,
I see it as quite consistent on _my computer_.
I beleive it is quite consistent on my HP Vectra of some kind,
about 3+ years old.
Can I run some commands to list this, or is there some debugging
I can help with?

Dear sirs,
I am very sorry for taking up your time with this bug report.
I found the source of the problem.
Power saving after 20 minutes was activated in the bios.
Apparently does the kernel not support that.
I have now disabled the power saving and I do not expect any more
problems.
