My system (thinkpad t23) have been affected by this bug for a very long time. It worked correctly with xorg before 7.0 or 7.1, then a kernel module bug appeared making DRI unusable. When a workaround was found, I had this bug but another one crashed x11 when certain apps tried to change screen

I've tested different versions of libgl1-mesa-dri with no success. The oldest I tried was version 6.3.2-2.1 because version 6.3.2-2 need a package named libdrm1 that doesn't exist any more and version 6.3.2-1 breaks a lot of dependancies including xscreensaver-gl. I can't go further because
