Hi, I had this behaviour recently (a couple of weeks ago maybe) too. I fixed that by setting shutdown method = shutdown in /etc/uswsusp.conf (previous value was reboot). I don't know why that file was changed (I certainly didn't put the reboot in there), but that might be a possible direction
