it's a brief four-line patch, and only applies to LTSP environments.
also, it looks like 0.4.4-3 didn't make it into the git repository?

when hal is installed and running, it seems to work fine.
i don't think the LTSP shutdown/reboot support in lxsession really should neeed
hal in any way, but at least that's a workaround, and it didn't before the
patch adding upower support was added.
