I tried if this problem persists on Ubuntu 18.04, XaoS 4.2.1, current
GitHub sources (compiled via "qmake && make"). The answer is: no. Version
4+ actually no longer uses the m4/ stuff. So, I guess, this issue can be
closed unless anyone is still interested in the 3.x sources.
