a program with an accidental infinite loop, and while debugging it,
a printf line started writing lines to somewhere in /opt, and I

FWIW, I had the same problem with Suikoden and changing the BIOS to
SCPH7003.bin as instructed in aforementioned link did the trick.

my /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/transmission-daemon.service
