The file elmo.inc gets deleted during make distclean but is not

/etc/init.d/mountvirtfs is sourced. mountvirtfs isn't called with a
start parameter so it actually is mountvirtfs that complains that you
should start it with (start|stop|...). The output is

This is a bug in the hibernate scripts. They should send NM a
notification to disable the network before suspend, and a notification
