I am unable to find any newer version in /usr/share/misc/. We use
config.guess dated 2006-07-02 and config.sub dated 2006-09-20. What

now, we will change the default in Debian Edu to use
pulseaudio by default by editing our /etc/asound.conf file to do this.
We earlier only enabled this for thin clients, but if it make sure
Adobe Flash audio do not block other programs, it seem a good default
to have for non-thin clients too.

To me this definitely sound like a kernel problem. During shutdown,
sysvinit ask the kernel to power down the machine, and if that do not

Who came up with the idea that /lib/init/vars.sh is an internal API? It
is provided by initscripts for all init.d scripts to use. I created it
to make it available for every script that wanted access to the
variables defined there. The most used one is
sr/sbin/atd
Only DESC and DAEMON need to be set. Other settings can be overriden
either by using variables or functions. Would this fit your need?

Here is a more complete patch to implement my proposed change. It
drop the symlinking in /etc/hurd/rc and do it in an init.d scripts
instead.

I checked the scripts in the package using "less $(grep -l discard
