Of course users do not normally need to learn gdb, but
I bet it has something to do with how the xpdfrc was changed,

However adding those
displayFontT1
to ones ~/.xpdfrc as a workaround now give
Error: Unknown config file command '{0:t}' ({1:t}:{2:d})
So OK
