Hello, I grabbed the eglibc from the sid repository and pointed the
bug.c program at it, verified with ldd that the bug program would use
the new eglibc version, and observed the socket still receives DNS
requests.

This time zone exists on my Red Hat system, but not on my Debian system.
I note the time
I just purged and re-installed, and Australia/Melbourne is now there.
It seems that was the only one missing for Australia.

After upgrading to libc6 2.3.2-5 I found that I could no longer start
CorelDRAW 9 or Crossover Plugin 1.1.3 plugin setup or loki uninstall
binary
These programs give no helpful error messages, and aren't open source,
so there isn't much I can say other than that
