I have only libqt-gl and libqt-mt installed both are not providing libqt2
dependencies, only libqt2.2, but the dpkg yells anyway and I always have to

Why does kde install everything in the /usr tree? I think the /opt tree is

does there exist any Quanta package for Potato?
Hi. I've taken over Quanta maintenance as of a couple of weeks ago. However
I have no access to a potato machine on which to build a potato package, and
I have not nearly enough free drive space at the moment to do it in a chroot
area. :(

Have you got installed libqt2.2_2.3? This package does nothing but fulfil
2.2 dependencies until packages like kdbg have been rebuilt.

1. with that many fonts, _everything_ kde slows to a crawl. launching
konqueror took upwards of a minute. i could open netscape 4.x, get the
info i needed, and close it before konqueror would start
sometimes. this went away when i dropped down to ~8 or so tt
fonts. maybe a bug in xfs-xtt?
What's going on? Is it supposed to be like this?
The short answer is yes. In normal usage Linux will allocate all but 2MB
or so of available RAM to buffers. As your memory usage increases the
amount dedicated to buffers decreases so you always have around 2MB
free.

Up until yesterday, I was using konqueror here at work, and it was wonderful.
Then, after apt-get'ing last Thursday's updates, everytime I try and surf
