with alsa 0.5, alsa 0.9 or even OSS drivers), and the previous (6 months ago
was the last time I tested) Debian kmid worked fine. Therefore, I suspect
that the current kmid build has been misconfigured, and if so I hope that
Daniel gets that straightened
the source of my midi troubles.

rtsd, KDE 2.1-pre is a must. kmidi now
works, but kmid is much better (at least for the SB live + alsa). I am
looking forward to recompiling KDE 2.1 again tomorrow night (4 hours on my
athlon-600) to see how much it has improved since last weekend.
