I am using KDE 3.1.1 from sid. I have konqueror configured so
that plain text files are to be opened by vim in a terminal
(with no embedding, of course). When I select a text file from
the web, konq asks me to open or save as. If I select open,
the file is downloaded but nothing happens; vim
I recently switched my laptops sound drivers from the kernel modules to
alsa-0.9+0beta4. I'm pretty sure I have alsa set up correctly. All sound
applications outside of kde are working fine.
To complete the switch in kde, I did an apt-get install libarts-alsa.
However, I think artsd is
support (if this is in fact the
issue)? Also, maybe someone on the list has another idea?

It worked fine in 2.1, did I miss a discussion maybe?
Works fine for me
Hello,
Does anyone know why the option to 'Get files from CVS repository (cvs
checkout)' is not available to use when creating a project in Quanta? Is this
perhaps an option that is not enabled at compile time? If so, can this option
be enabled for future releases of this package?
Thanks,
Hello,
(frowning) Would someone kindly describe how to remove an applet, e.g.
KNewsTicker, from the KPanel. Sadly, apart from killing the process, I cannot
solve this puzzle.
Thanks,

Hi all,
Has anyone else noticed that konqueror (kde 2.1 beta2) will not render sun's
jdk api documentation. Here is the link
http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/index.html
Does anyone know why only the frames load, but do not render?
