No matter how long I wait, KMail is stuck.
I have to restart KMail.
My impression: It happens regular when changing folders too fast.
Of course I tried akonadictl (fsck + vacuum + restart) with no success.
Any idea where to look at or what to do ?

Hi,
a while ago I asked for help to fix sporadic keyboard freezes.
Since it happens just once every few days and a KDE logout/login fixes it, I
didn't invest much time into that issue. I also couldn't reproduce it... until

Some (random ?) emails can't be deleted nor flagged as 'read'.
tested akonadictl fsck / vacuum / restart in all combinations without luck.
After restarting sddm when struck by Bug#1, those emails were gone. I guess,
restarting Kmail would have done the same. Still not very nice.

Just a small thing (but still sometimes annoying when sending many attachments
to a non-technical customer).
When selecting a range of files as attachments (e.g. 1.txt, 2.txt, 3.txt), they
appear in the attachment list in the reverse order (3.txt on top, 1.txt at
bottom). One can work around it
Right-click on a message with a bunch of attachments and selecting "Save

Switched Systemsettings:Workspace->Search->File Search off and on again. This

No. Works well. I am updating SID every morning (~ 9:00 UTC).

Hi,
since KDE 3.3.0 (kate 2.3) i have to double click into the file list to switch

sometimes a different file is highlighted than shown in the view.
My questions are
1. is this by purpose or is it a bug?

I had several problems in the past 12 months that were similar. Try the
following:
- apt-get update, apt-get dist-upgrade
- reboot
- stop kdm/x11, remove all tmp kde and start kdm/x11 again
- take one crashing app, find out its packet and reinstall it (
Hi,
instead of downgrading (see mail of Tim Mueller) you also could execute
xmodmap -e 'clear mod1' -e 'add mod1 = Alt_L'
on the console.
This is not permanently. After X restarting you have to do it again.

You are talking about a kdm session I guess.

Hi,
i am pretty shure the font cache is not up to date. I had this problem often
in the past, but since I went to Debian SID I never had it again. So I forgot
what to do - something with 'fc-cache'. Try it out, play with it.

Hi,
My file list gets sorted after starting Kate but the 'sort file list

Does anyone knows a workaround for this?

Hi,
since updating KDE (3.1.5 to 3.2.1), displaying applets does not work
correctly. E.g. JTree unfolding produces a very high Path with nothing. In a
scrollpane I can go to the bottom where I find the rest of the 'leafs'.
Also, my applet keeps running though I closed all konquerer windows.

Hi,
when opening text files with german umlauts (eg. in Comments of C source
code), kate sets the charset not to iso-8859-1(5) or compatible but to some
kyrillic charset. After saving the file, all umlauts are converted into some
kyrillic chars - sometimes just to a question mark.

Hi,
I would like to have a PDF printer available to all applications. But
kprinters 'new printer' option does not allow to select one (does not show
this option). What is missing?

Hi,
I would like to install transcode for K3B (using SID). apt-get doesn't know
anything about transcode... does it have a different name? What's the name or
where can I get a .deb file for transcode?
Cheers, Tim
