I think it would be cool to prioritize people who are unlikely to get visas,
both to make the chance of attendance closer to equal and to verify/
demonstrate/ that this is a problem.
We can still use random selection if people like; mentors' chances of being
selected would be related to chance
I have written a dmenu version of the Click To Dial pop-up window, and I
distribute it in case anyone finds it interesting. It implements the basic
paradigm, but it does not substantially validate phone numbers, nor does not
have the integrations that our Click to Dial students have written on t
Where is it documented? Some students are not sure what to submit.
I see "Provide a link to the work you did during GSoC." but only
for the final evaluation.
I was unclear. Do students have to submit anything to Debian or to the
mentors? (It sounds like no.)
Some students have asked me if they need to submit something for the
evaluation period. I haven't found anything about this in the directions
from Google; did we say something about it somewhere? As far as I know,
students only need to submit their normal updates (and this requirement
is just from

All of the normal kanboards look annoying to manage for me, and
I actually think we don't particularly benefit from the web interfaces
because each student is working independently. So, I suggest that
people (especially my students) do something like what I do for planning
my projects.

You did make it sound very appealing in comparison with those I tried

try it out.
It might save me enough time to be worth the effort to administrate it,
though I would probably check with other hackers to see if anyone else

Is it possible to make a group for the Click to Dial project on Salsa?
I did not see how to do it. I have a guest account.
I have set up a Mumble server for my mentees, and I am happy to make
it available to other Debian GSoC projects. Please contact me if you are
interested in using it.
You can read about Mumble here.

I managed to subscribe with a different email address. Thanks.
A diligent applicant has made me aware that I am not receiving emails
sent to debian-outreach, and I have not managed to find a support avenue
for the Debian mailing lists. Can someone check my registration on the
mailing list to see what might be wrong?
As the present email demonstrates, I can se

I can download them myself if necessary, but it seems silly to do that
if an administrator can download them so easily. Thanks though.
The GSoC website requires internet access and proprietary JavaScript,
and I am also not very skilled at using websites in general, so I want
to download project proposals in order that I may review them.
I have read on the GSoC mentors list, from Maybellin Burgos, that those
