cheers everyone. glxgears now at 330+ fps . bring it on! i can finally regain some pride in bzflag :) All i had to do in the end was compile r128 DRM as a kernel module and get a decent XF86Config-4 file. I still have a problem though - my display is now stuck at 1024x768. How can i make it d

ahh -- there are more detailed messages about what I had to do to get opengl working on my ibook (with a rage128) but basically, I had to set my colors to 16bit rather than 24 bit... that was the deciding factor. If you have a rage128 you DON'T need dri-trunk or anything like that, and honest
