in OpenFirmware, text is displayed fine. But as soon as I boot up

out on this list. I am applying the patch to the kernel-source-2.6.6 tree after
applying the Debian patches to it (both the kernel source and patches were
obtained using apt-get). Here's the error I get:

Never mind.. I was able to mount the partition and created an initrd for the
2.6.6 kernel and it boots now..

You need to install X-Windows. Lucky for you, you're using Debian so it's as
easy as this:
apt-get update; apt-get install x-window-system

I can't send mail from Kmail. Kmail says "Can't send some messages" and
leaves the mail in the Outbox. I'm using SMTP to send mail. I can send
mail from OSX, using Mail.app and from KDE, using Evolution. Why can't I
send from Kmail -- the configuration information is the same. Thanks.
