vdr is a video-disk-recorder that uses dvb-devices to record dvb-signal
from satellite, cable or terrestical.
Now the problem:
vdr uses v4l(2) to grab the TV-picture. On x86 when you try to grab -

Finally I got pmdisk working fine. I had to disable DRI and remove
xfree-dri-trunk. In my first test I removed only xfree-dri-trunk but
I got X to crash.
Next I disabled DRI by commenting the line

How do I enable Gnome sound so I can play audio CDs and MP3 files on my
