Try to performing a HT (Hardware Test) with th CDs you got the machine with. If you have one, just boot from it and run hardware test. My tech recommends running it for hours, and you sometimes can set it to run for a determined amount of time, or number of times. I'm wouldn't want to run it

Can someone help me? I have a Powerbook G4 17 inch. The backlit keyboard won't light up. When I boot from my external hard drive, it lights up fine. Then when I reboot from my G4 system drive, it won't light. The external drive is running OS X 10.3.3 and my system is running OS X 10.3.7.
