Note that as noted in its changelog, there was a regression in apt 2.9.5. However, apt 2.9.6 yields the same behavior. And to be sure that there wasn't any other regression, I downgraded apt to stable and installed libapt-pkg6.0 from stable (replacing the libapt-pkg6.0t64 package from the t64 trans
