I just got this bugreport and I agree that it is a problem.
However I want your opinion whether this is serious or not. Especially
as it is a bit tricky to get ntop into etch, because of the libgd2 dependency
problem while building for some arches.

please unlock icedove. The artwork changes are pretty important, as
for now the gnome menu icon is a different one than the one used in
window.
The other change, the gnome_helpers patch is already in iceweasel,
iceape, xulrunner.
