not removing the package would be a better idea?
Perhaps this is the better choice, as most new TYPO3 projects will use
6.0 or newer. I think many of the currently running installations are
4.6 or 4.7, and only a minority is at 4.5 currently.

The typo3-dummy 4.2.3 packages also resolves a bug, which prevents file
uploads in the backend to due the absence of the upload dir in the
open_basedir setting of php. This issue is fixed in 4.2.3 and should go to
lenny.

the short time the packages were in testing before the
freeze happend. There wasn't much time for the users to submit bugreports.
Typo3 4.0.4 is a bugfix only release by upstream.
The source packages affected are typo3-src and typo3-dummy.
