version, and a package compiled against this version cannot propagate to
etch. vorlon suggested version numbers 1.13.1-7 for unstable and

Thank you. You gave positive feedback about letting tetex-base in, but
didn't add a hint yet. Just forgotten, or are we waiting for
remove aleph from testing - any NMUing won't make
sense without doing the actual work of packaging afnix.
To me it seems as if the current situation is better than having no
aleph/afnix at all. However, it violates the release policy.
What should we do?

e" metapackage does not cover the complete teTeX, whereas
texlive-full pulls in really everything, about 2 Gigabyte of files. And
it doesn't make sense to introduce new metapackages that map teTeX's
buggy splitting scheme on the texlive packages.

Are you willing to let this in as it is? Or should we revert the code
changes (I hope, not the doc-base registering) to get a
