Sparc include files broken?

Hi, I'm trying to compile the latest version of apt for the sparc platform. I get some very, very strange error messages. I've included them below. Specifically, I am wondering that the heck this /usr/include/bits directory is, what the netrose stuff is (i386 has neither of these), and why it

Hi, AFter quite a few CPU cycles on my classic, I've got X (with Mike's patches) built. I have not uplodaded it to master yet as there is at least one issue to fix. You can get the packages from ftp.netg.se:/pub/Linux/spar c/X I had to make a few patches to the debian stuff to get it to build

can't install on a 5/170

Having gotten sick of my 5/85 (and desperately needing to reorg my f/s anyway), off I went to install on a 5/170. I can getr the kernel to boot the ramdisk image via TFTP but it hangs attempting to mount /. ISTR reading that Sparc/Linux doesn't support 5/170. Does anyone know why? BTW, does
