Yes I had this with some cheap memory I got on ebay. It happened intermittently, for unpredictable time periods. During the bursts, syslogd and klogd were taking a lot of CPU and the filesystem was getting filled up very quickly with those warnings I ended up replacing the memory. You might

Hi I had the same problem, I gave up trying xf86config and started editing the XF86Config file by hand and checking the log messages in /var/log/XFree86.0.log It was a while ago but from what I remember I commented out the Load "dri" line in the Module section (along with a couple of other ones)
