GDM knows perfectly well what XDMCP is, as do all DM's based on XDM (are there any that AREN'T?). The default gdm config is fine. Add: gdm: 192.168.0. (or whatever) to your hosts.allow and you'll be fine. If it STILL decides to be weird, look at gdm.conf and make sure you have "Enable=1" in th

Awesome. I added this to my .Xmodmap in my /home dir... ! Swap Caps_Lock and Control_L ! remove Lock = Caps_Lock keysym Escape = Caps_Lock keysym Caps_Lock = Escape add Lock = Caps_Lock ... and it worked after I typed 'xmodmap .Xmodmap'. Will X read this file on start up each time? Or do I hav
