After an upgrade to woody my eth0 deactivates when my machine is left on
overnight. As eth0 is dhcp-driven, I suppose this is something about
dhcp. But I can't spare enough time to look for the solution myself right
now, I hope someone solved this problem before and can help me.

I have a Debian box acting as a mailserver running Exim behind a Debian
box acting as a firewall/gateway with appropriate port forwarding etc.
Everything runs fine. I've been seeing some odd traffic lately,
though. An SMTP request will come in and be forwarded to the

I know that if you use a pre-built generic 2.4.18 kernels you get

After an upgrade my display has severe pincushion distrotion apparently
caused by lilo. That is, at power up the initial display is normal but
distorts as soon as lilo starts to present the boot options. The
uncommented line in lilo.config is vga=normal. I have tried switching
this to vga=

mailbox at my ISP. I set up a ~/.procmailrc file in the directory of
the user which retrieves the mail (with fetchmail) with the following
type of filter:

the final colon is asking procmail to create a lockfile, but since you
are forwarding and not storing, you don't need a lockfile. in fact,

I can't imagine why it wouldn't. I don't remember hearing/reading
about any drive size limitations when it came to SCSI for the past
