estoy intentando montar un nucleo nuevo en mi woody
lo he hecho por el sistema propio de debian creando un paquete que luego
se instala como otro cualquiera el caso esque todo va de pinga asta que se
reinicia cuando intento arrancar con ese nucleo me pone

Verifica la memoria para más tranquilidad, pues a mí no se me ha colgado
Debian nunca en los 7 meses que llevo usándola, varias horas al día.
Usa memtest86 para el chequeo de la memoria.

por lo menos a mí ya me está causando muchos problemas.
Lo mas probable es que sean fallos de hardware. Dices que se te cuelga
compilando. La compilacion de codigo fuente es una de las tareas que mueve
mas memoria y CPU, asi

I just noticed that in debconf questions I can't arrow up/down, but I
can tab and enter. I tried rolling back to the previous version of
debconf but that didn't fix it. This repros on 2 PCs.
