I think you missed the point. As Ron Johnson pointed out, you need to
use umount before you unplug the device. If you unplug without using

I discover that with ACPI the suspend features doen not work properly
because of the module ohci_hcd, I did something like this:
rmmod ohci_hcd && sleep 2 && echo 4 > /proc/acpi/sleep && sleep 2 &&
insmod ohci_hcd
in this way my laptop finally suspend in 2 secs! I can clearly see the
half-moon led.
As far as I can tell, it's because the 2.6 kernel is compiled with IDE
as a module instead of including it in the kernel proper. Is there
something I still need to do to allow this module to be loaded?
