I just installed Lenny in a VMware Player virtual machine and the pointer does
not match up with
the mouse. There is a x and y offset from where the mouse x-y is and where the
desktop (gnome)

I am having a problem setting the screen resolution when I use a KVM
switch.
When I connect my monitor directly to the linux box I can set high
resolution such as 1024x764 or more; however when the monitor is connect

Just use intelligence based on the fact that you are downloading random
programs. Run it on a test system that has a good virus scanner and
something to backup with beforehand.
I've saved thousands this way.

I'm trying to install Debian Lenny on a HP DL180 G6 server.
This server seems to have an Intel network card which needs the e1000
driver.
But for some reason it's not recognized because using the netinstaller it
asks what kind of network card is in the server.
