Additional info ... I have upgraded my kernel to 2.4.21, I have updated my Nvidia driver to 1.0.4496 With a new kernel, I loaded wacom etc, same problem. Interestingly when I have ctrl-alt-f1, I can flip between 1-6 no probs back again. It is only when I select 7 for X that the problems
