Have you tried the package wvdial that is in _some_ of the Debian distributions? (Certainly in frozen). Very easy to configure and it seems to work. IMO the ppp stuff is a nightmare - before finding wvdial I had ended up with a one-line script with all my ppp options in it as I couldn't get ppp

On my system the dpkg --help seems to come out on the wrong console. For instance if I do a dpkg --help | less then less doesn't seem to come into the picture at all. To check this out I did dpkg --help 2> dpkg.txt and all the help came out in the file. Is this correct behaviour or am I miss
