Dear Debian Users!
I had found a bug that is in kernel-2.4.1 and kernel-2.4.2. I write this to
you cause i am a very convinced debian user, in hope you can fix this for
others of the debian group, they could have the same nerve-racking trouble
like i had with this. It is an error that comes, by co
it the content that
will decide if it is unnecessery or not and not the fact that it is a chain
letter?

default? If default, how can i configure my bash to save the history?
Have a nice day!

Hello again dear Peter!
I´m so sorry! I exchanged /etc/modules.conf with /etc/modules! Forget my
last mail. It has nothing to do with your questions! To /etc/modules.conf i
only can write, that it includes some aliases for work with the system. I
mean that this aliases will be needed for kernel to
Hi You!
I like to understand the specs file of gcc. In man gcc i had found no
information about that. Do you know a HOWTO or another document where i can
find an explanation of this file?
Thanx,

Hi Peter!
/etc/modules.conf includes all the names of modules, they are installed into
your kernel. I´m not shure whether modconf has generated this file. But
modconf will write into it by selecting a module to put it into the kernel.
The kernel reads this file to see which modules shall be load a

Hi!
Do you have installed gpm, the consolse mouse driver? Then remove gpm or
kill it with gpm -k before starting X cause the X mouse driver can´t work if
gpm is running.

For some days i had the same problem. I made much changes of fontpackages
and found by doing this the minimal required packages for the fonts that X
will work : xfonts-75dpi (or 100dpi) , xfonts-base , xfonts-pex. If you have
all these packages installed i can do no more for you. You shou
