Apt sure beats compiling. Just do all at once, e.g., apt-get install apache mysql php tomcat. Or in any order--apt will ensure the proper dependencies are met. Do it through dselect if you wish. Not sure of the mysql and php package names. I did so and have found myself with a

On the other hand if your ISDN Router is expecting a static IP and eth0 is setup to use dhcp, then you probably should change it to use a static IP in /etc/network/interfaces. Again, you will have to have some good DNS servers listed in /etc/resolv.conf. I have it set up with a static IP

How exactly are you pinging? Something like ping 192.168.0.XXX or ping myhost.mydomain.com? What exactly are the results when you try? neither work - my gateway for instance is 10.0.0.10 if I ping that (I then have to ctrl-C out of it): 10.0.0.10 ping statistics 4 packets

You don't want to emulate a third button, you already have 3 buttons. You can also set the zaxis mapping to use the scroll options of your mouse. removing that line or changing it to false doesn't seem to make any difference to it starting up. Right now I'd just like to see it starting up
