I suggest avifile, it comes with a simple player called aviplay , its very nice for divx especially, i would suggest xine, but even on my P3 650Mhz and 256MB Ram, the sound never seems to be synchronous with the video... With debian u will have to tell it where the qt libs AND source files are..

Make sure the box has an IP of 192.168.0.* and a netmask the same as the gateway. Then try : route add default gw 192.168.0.1 then jsut type in "route" and see what it says... before u do that make sure the network card is actually running (ifconfig) otherwise it wouldnt see anything

Hmm, im not sure you have to be using 2.4 but it wouldnt help... make sure you have to correct kernel source in /usr/src/linux it does make a difference. Then after make install do modprobe NVdriver otherwise hte driver maybe possible require 2.4.x kernel... Right now im running the 0.97 nVidia
