I have LibreOffice5 installed on Debian Stretch on an Asus EeePC
notebook which uses an Atom N455 processor.
All the LibreOffice modules seem to work fine except for Writer.
When I try to launch Writer it begins loading and a banner saying
"LibreOffice 5" appears across the middle of the screen

Hello,
A month or two ago I moved a certain computer from jessie
to stretch and after doing so found that neither the right
nor the middle mouse buttons have any effect when clicked
on the XFCE desktop. The expected thing happens when
clicking on a panel, but on the desktop, nothing. To get

Hello,
I have an error that I can't find. Maybe someone can point me in the
right direction. The error is causing a number of problems some would
take a long explanation to describe, but one that seems quite easy to
describe is this. When I login as myself and do man I get a man page.
But the

Yes, this is surely your problem the 3c509 combo card has a BNC and a
twisted pair port and possibly also an AUI port as well. You have the
twisted pair (10baseT port chosen. It is changed by software. I've
never tried it in linux, but in Windows NT4 and I think also 95 it can
be set from the N
spool/mail/dmacdoug I have looked for any reason why
permission would be denied and haven't found any. Smail is running
suid root and the permissions on the mail file are -rw-r--r-- and it is
owned by root. I don't know if these things are right or wrong but they
are the same as on the mac
Well, I'm back from last week. I had a version discrepancy with LILO.
I still have not solved it. The exact error message that I get if I
try to run LILO from the command line is:
"First boot sector is version 18. Expecting version 20."
If I use the debian rescue disk and try the option there

I installed Debian Slink on a system that previously had a Caldera
system on it. Then when I attempted to run lilo I got an error message
that said something like "The first somethingorother is version 18.
Version 20 expected" and then lilo exits. Eventually I figured that
maybe I needed to unin

Am I a complete idiot or is Deselect one of the most diabolical
programs ever?
It's so seductive. I've used it quite a number of times. Worked
beautifully. Then I made a mistake. And each step to try to undo the
mistake just digs the hole deeper. I'll never get out!
