HI.
I wish to report what I believe is a bug in Debian Jessie but am not sure
which package is involved.
In an /etc/fstab file I have lines for two removable file systems. For each
file system I include the noauto option.
However I find these file systems are automatically mounted on boot up.

Updated Debian Jessie 8.0 using :-
apt-get -u update
apt-get -u upgrade
apt-get -u dist-upgrade
but now find that the PC won't reboot.
Am getting messages such as
'couldn't start the load kernel modules' and
'couldn't start /boot/efi'
Can anyone help, please ?
Please has anyone experience or knowledge of
incompatabilities between Nvidia's 6200TC Express X 16
graphics card and a motherboard based on ATI's RS480
or RS482 chip ?
I have read of some people experiencing computer
lockouts when using the above combination. I know of a
system which uses an
The stable release of Etch has recently been
installed on an old Abit BE6 II motherboard. The
previous system run on this board was a 2.4 Sarge.
Whenever, Etch is booted, the boot stops at several
points, saying CTRL-D is needede to continue the boot.
This has not happened on the Sarge system.
Does anyone have a good idea of when the release of
stable Etch is likely ? Is there any chance that it
will be released in February or is March a more
realistic date?
I notice from the Feb 9th Bug report that there are
still 104 release critical bugs to fix.

I am interested in obtaining a new motherboard and
CPU. The current CPU is a Pentium III and runs Debian
Sarge (kernel 2.4.27-3-686). I am thinking of getting
an Athlon 64 as the new CPU.
Does anyone please know what updates would be needed
to the current kernel in order to use the Athlon 64
