I installed potato and now upgraded to 2.2r1 and have a problem with
sound.
permissions of the /dev/dsp* devices are crw-rw and ownership is
root.audio.
this seem to be sane if as a counterpart audio applications were owned
by root.audio and set sgid, but this is not the case!

Hi Debian users,
I follow always the threads about the group audio in the user debian
list and know that I have to add a user in group audio for he to be able to
play CD and midi.
But, I installed Debian 2.0 and use NIS and my passwd does not have any
user and when I try

SoundBlaster + Speakers + Sound Module
As superuser I can hear the sound (xpat2, ...) but
as normal users no :(
Should I change the premissions in /dev/audio or ???
